CASE #22-48389: On Thursday, May 12, 2022 at approximately 12:48 AM, the victim was at 7-Eleven in the 1100 block of George Washington Hwy, where he won $500 from the gaming machines. While collecting his winnings from the cashier, the suspect was in line next to him, and witnessed the money transfer. The suspect exited the store, where he re-parked his vehicle at the business gas pumps, and waited for the victim to exit. After exiting, the victim walked to his residence nearby with the suspect following in his vehicle. Once at his residence, the suspect approached him and demanded the previously collected winnings, and displayed a firearm. The victim did not comply, at which time he was struck in the head with the firearm, with one single round being discharged. The suspect took cash from the victim’s pocket, and was last seen fleeing the area on foot, running down the 1300 block of Canal Drive.
