Chesapeake Police Department's Cold Case Homicide Investigations

The Chesapeake Police Department's Cold Case Homicide Investigations are handled by our Crimes Against Persons Squad, which is staffed by nine detectives who are experienced in handling Homicides, Suspicious Deaths, Missing Persons, Robberies, Assaults and other violent criminal acts committed against individuals. They are supervised by the Detective Sergeant of the Crimes Against Persons (CAP) Squad. All nine detectives are utilized for the review and investigation of the City of Chesapeake's homicide cases.

You may make a difference in solving a cold case homicide. Currently, there are numerous unsolved homicides in Chesapeake and it is crucial that citizens and the police department work together in solving them. Any information regarding an unsolved case is greatly appreciated and may be the difference in bringing a killer to justice and bringing closure for the victim's family.
