Equestrian

Horseback riding in the Park's equestrian area and horse trails is available to horse owners with memberships, campers and group rentals from 9 a.m. until posted sunset.

Memberships

Memberships can be purchased starting October 1st of the preceding calendar year for $10 per person per year. They are valid through December 31st of membership year. Proof of negative Coggins must be kept in member's trailer at all times. When membership is purchased, member is given a car hang tag with the year of membership written on it, and this is to be displayed in the hauling vehicle for Park Rangers to be able to verify. Membership is bought and tracked through Active Net and can only be purchased at select Parks, Recreation and Tourism sites to include Northwest River Park. Group Rentals

Group rentals of the arena and round pen are available for $80 per day. Rental groups must have liability insurance and submit a Small Event Permit application for approval. The group may set up obstacles and jumps covered under their liability insurance. See Equestrian Memberships & Area Rentals for further information. Equestrian Camping

The Equestrian Area at Northwest River Park is open for camping from April 1 to November 30. Camping is limited to Friday and Saturday nights; Sundays on holiday weekends only. Campsites are $21 per night for a maximum of: 1 trailer, 1 car/truck, 2 horses, 4 people. Facilities include restrooms and potable water. See Equestrian Campground Policies for more information.
