CITY OFFICES CLOSE IN OBSERVANCE OF HOLIDAYS - REVISED
CHESAPEAKE – Following yesterday’s announcement by Governor Tim Kaine that state employees would receive an additional eight hours off during the holidays, the City of Chesapeake has amended its closing schedule for the next two weeks. The revised hours for City offices, libraries and community centers are as follows (changes noted in bold):
OPERATING SCHEDULE CHANGES

| Thursday, December 25 | All Facilities | Closed |
| Friday, December 26 | All Facilities | Closed |
| Wednesday, December 31 | All Facilities | Closed at 12:00 p.m. |
| Thursday, January 1 | All Facilities | Closed |
| Friday, January 2 | All Facilities | Closed |
All City government offices, libraries and community centers will follow normal operating hours at all other times.
TRASH COLLECTION SCHEDULE (As Previously Announced)

| Friday, December 26 | Normal Collection Schedule |
| Thursday, January 1 | Pick-up will be on Saturday, January 3 |
