CHESAPEAKE OFFERS LANDLORD TRAINING WORKSHOP
CHESAPEAKE– On the heels of its successful Neighborhood Conference, the City of Chesapeake is offering a landlord training workshop on Tuesday, July 29, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Portlock Galleries at SoNo, 3815 Bainbridge Blvd. Keeping illegal activity out of rental properties will be the primary focus of this free workshop. Other topics to be covered include landlord and tenant laws, property maintenance and management, and lease termination and evictions.
Attendees will have the opportunity to receive valuable information that could help increase property values, decrease money lost due to failure to pay rent, reduce repair and maintenance costs, increase demand for their rental, improve safety, and form a closer partnership with the police and other agencies.
Registration forms for the workshop must be received no later than July 24. Please contact the Department of Neighborhood Services, Neighborhood Coordination Division at 382-6018 for a registration form.
