CHESAPEAKE TO HOST NEIGHBORHOOD LEADERSHIP WORKSHOPS

CHESAPEAKE- The Neighborhood Services Department, Coordination Division is offering three new training workshops for citizens. The programs will cover starting a civic league, dealing with difficult multi-dimensional problems, and applying for a Quality of Life grant. 

Residents may attend one workshop or the entire series. The workshops all begin at 6:00 p.m., and will be held in the Fire Department classroom at 304 Albemarle Drive. There is no cost to attend the workshops. Dates and topics are as follows:

  • Thursday, October 25, Civic League Development: Starting an Effective Neighborhood Organization
  • Thursday, November 1, Solving Chronic Nuisance problems:  A Guide for Neighborhood Leaders
  • Thursday, November 8, Neighborhood Grants: Applying for Chesapeake’s Quality of Life Matching Grants
