REQUIRED IDENTIFICATION AT THE POLLS

Virginia voters MUST provide identification at the polls on Election Day.
Acceptable forms of identification include:

  • Virginia voter identification card

  • Virginia driver's license

  • Military ID

  • Federal, state or local government ID

  • Employer issued photo ID card

  • Social Security card

TOUCH SCREEN VOTING SYSTEMDiebold AccuVote TSX Touch Screen Voting System

The new Diebold AccuVote TSX Touch Screen Voting System will be used for all future elections. Some of the new features include:

  • Large color, finger-activated touch-screen

  • Smart-card technology

  • Internal battery backup

  • Magnifying feature enlarges the text for improved visibility

  • Voice guided ballot for the visually impaired to cast their votes in private

The system is easy to use. You can preview the steps and actually cast a practice ballot with a demo using your mouse to click on your choices rather than touching the screen when using the actual equipment. Once you have clicked on the link below, click on the colored photo in the right lower corner to begin.
