Effective April 1, 2010 the City of Chesapeake is utilizing Onvia DemandStar online government purchasing database.
The following bids and proposals are available to interested firms. Solicitation documents are available by clicking on the item, or may be obtained from the Purchasing Division, 306 Cedar Road, 5th Floor, Chesapeake, VA 23322. Vendors may also call (757) 382-6359 to receive a solicitation package.
Documents cannot be sent via fax, nor can bids or proposals be submitted via fax. Bids or proposals must be returned in a sealed envelope. NO LATE BIDS OR PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Immigration and Control Act
Effective November 9, 2007, all contracts shall contain a certification of compliance with immigration laws. The successful contractor or vendor shall complete the certification before contract award. Failure to provide a notarized certification will render the contract null and void.
The Immigration Compliance Form included as Attachment A is provided for informational purposes only during the solicitation phase of the procurement. Upon award determination and notification, the winning contractor must complete the form and submit it to the Purchasing and Contracts Manager before an award can be made.
Solicitation Addendum
The person in your firm authorized to bind the company must sign all addenda, and return an original signed copy with the bid or proposal. The addendum becomes a part of the bid or proposal package and supercedes original specifications that are changed by the addendum. It is the responsiblity of all offerors to obtain all addenda and return a signed copy to the Purchasing Division.

Onvia DemandStar brings together government agencies and suppliers and enables us to improve our service by providing automatic bid notification and instant access to bid information via the Web.
If you are a vendor interested in doing business with the City of Chesapeake, you can register with Onvia DemandStar and be notified by e-mail when the City of Chesapeake post bids that interest you.
