Public Works Department - Operations
Traffic Control Devices
The primary traffic control devices in the City include signals, signs, traffic islands, medians, and pavement markings.
Traffic signals, stop signs, and yield signs are devices that are used to assign the right-of-way for travel efficiency and public safety. Because of this, the maintenance of these devices is a priority.
Pavement markings guide the motorist along the roadway. Markings are centerlines, edge lines, lane lines, and symbols painted on the pavement.
Traffic Operations provides for the maintenance of traffic control devices.
