Parks & Recreation Department - Notable Yards 2006

WESTERN BRANCH. Steve and Vicki Kincaid.  4927 Oriole Drive.

Steve and Vicki Kincaid’s yard is family-friendly and reflects Steve’s interest in collecting diecast cars and selling them on e-bay.  He built the family’s backyard deck.  On a tall corner post on the deck, he turned vintage model trucks into a bird feeder and birdhouse.

The lawn has been mowed to perfection.  Steve creates stripes by using a roller on his lawnmower.  Plantings include daylilies, back-eyed Susans, Rose of Sharon, crepe myrtle trees, and Japanese maple tree.
