Parks & Recreation Department - Notable Yards 2005

OSCAR SMITH. Audrey Arguin and Claude "Mac" McGinley. 424 Broad Bend Circle.

Audrey Arguin and Claude "Mac" McGinley have created a charming, cottage-style landscape, filled with azaleas, dahlias, liariappe, hostas, lilies, sedum, forsythia, hollies, butterfly bushes, wegelia, irises, gladiolas, and star jasmine.

"I trade plants with friends," said Audrey. "Many of the plants and yard art have been given to me by my friends. My friend gave me a pot-person sculpture that we have named Harriet Pottman. Friends often give me yard art with a cat theme."

Large, native trees provide shade and a comfortable area to rest on a warm day. Whimsical yard art is tucked throughout the garden.
