Chesapeake ... Clean and Green
Poster Contest
The "Chesapeake ... Clean and Green" Poster Contest is sponsored by the Chesapeake Environmental Improvement Council (CEIC) and is intended to encourage the viewer to start thinking and stop littering. There are five categories for entries based on school grade of student entering poster.
First place winners will receive a $200 savings bond, second place winners will receive a $50 check, and third place winners will receive a $25 check. A $50 check will be presented to the teacher of each first-place winner. This check can be used for any classroom need (supplies, celebration party, etc.).

2009 Contest Winners
The Chesapeake Environmental Improvement Council (CEIC) announced the winners of the Chesapeake . . . Clean and Green poster contest. Winning students were honored at the May 26, 2009 City Council meeting. Students and their family members had their photos taken with Mayor Alan P. Krasnoff. Their posters were displayed in the City Hall lobby for a week.
Winning posters will be displayed at the Major Hillard Library in Deep Creek (824 Old George Washington Highway) through June 30, 2009.
Camera-ready copies of the winning posters are available to be used to illustrate newspaper notifications of winners.
