CEIC Awards Program - An annual activity to recognize those individuals, groups, or organizations who have been involved in outstanding recycling, beautification, and litter control projects in Chesapeake. Nominations can be made for individuals or groups who have participated in environmental projects. [Awards Nomination Form]
The CEIC Awards Luncheon - Honors the winners chosen in the CEIC Awards Program. It is held the first Wednesday in March at the Holiday Inn-Chesapeake. Reservations are required. Corporate sponsors are recruited to help keep the luncheon cost at a minimum. Program ads can be purchased for $25-$150 each.
Clean and Green" Poster Contest - Sponsored for Chesapeake school students to promote litter prevention. The theme is "Chesapeake...Clean and Green." The contest is open to students in grades K-12 enrolled in any school in the City of Chesapeake. The purpose of this contest is to get people to start thinking and stop littering. To enter, teachers must call to register and to receive rules and regulations. Savings bonds and cash prizes are awarded. [2002 Clean and Green Poster Contest]
