Training Division

The Training Division is tasked with the cross training of all new recruits. Recruit training is rigorous and demanding. This basic training includes both classroom and practical hands-on training that mimics the street as close as possible in an academy setting. The training division develops curriculum that assures the highest quality training and assures a smooth transition from the classroom to field duty assignments.

The Training Division lead by Captain Lewis White is located at Old Fire Station #9. This facility served as the Brentwood area Fire Station from the formation of our City in 1963 until February 2005 when a new state of the art Fire Station was opened.

Through our work and a joint effort with the Southside Regional Fire Academy we train newly hired recruits, as well as provide ongoing Fire/EMS training to all members of our department.

Training is not everything.
It is the ONLY Thing!
