Office of Housing
The Office of Housing serves as the resource center related to workforce/affordable housing, homelessness, housing for the elderly and the disabled. The office administers the federally funded programs such as: Community Development Block Grant, Section 108 Loan Guarantee Program Funds, the HOME Investment Partnership Entitlement Funds, the American Dream Downpayment Initiative (ADDI) and the Continuum of Care (CoC.) homeless services funds.
Mission Statement
To provide resources to revitalize distressed neighborhoods, create quality affordable and workforce housing, and secure housing and other services for the homeless, elderly and the disabled.
Goals of the office:
Expand outreach, education and communications to better inform and involve citizens.
- Maintain appropriate levels of Administrative and Public Service Caps for CDBG and HOME grants.
Plan and monitor the Community Development Block grant, Section 108 and HOME activities
To preserve and increase affordable rental and owner-occupied housing stock
