Chesapeake Airport

Located at 2800 Airport Drive (driving directions map), Chesapeake Regional Airport is owned and operated by the Chesapeake Airport Authority. The nine members of the Authority are appointed for five year terms by the Chesapeake City Council.

Open for takeoffs and landings 24 hours a day, the airport has a 5,500 foot runway that is serviced by an Instrument Landing System (ILS) instrument approach, a Medium Intensity Approach Lighting System with Runway Alignment Indicator Lights (MALSR), High Intensity Runway Lights (HIRL), an Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS), and a Ground Communications Outlet (GCO). There are 86 T-Hangars and four corporate hangars available for aircraft storage.

Businesses at the Airport provide jet charters, pilot training, aircraft rental, aircraft maintenance, aircraft sales, fuel sales and pilot supplies.
